Monster Hunter 2 Dos PSP Connection Bonuses

I bought a PS2 and a PSP from the second-hand market. When I tried to connect them to get the Connection Bonuses, nothing happened. Can anyone help me? Could it be that my devices are faulty?

You have a copy of Monster Hunter Portable? You have to connect a save between Portable and Dos.

Thank you for your answer. I just solved the problem. The issue was with the PSP system version. When I was using version 6.61, there was no response, but after downgrading to 6.60, it indicated that the connection was successful.
