Sly 2: Band of Thieves.
that game is sick as hell, it's so good that Sly 3 was just Sly 2 but with minigames and a shitty ending, it goes fucking hard
my favourite bit (like everyone else with great taste in PS2 games) is where Bentley (spoilers)
has to do a whole chapter by himself. it's such a good character moment and i always like parts in games where you're disempowered after a high point (metroids don't count because you barely play the game with the goodies)
and that first area is so good too. dimitri is too perfect as a villain, he's the most watchable character in anything ever

Silent Hill 3.
To this day, it's the only game were it got me crying on my knees and also scared to the point I don't want to go through a door in my third playthrough
Visuals are GORGEOUS, look amazing on ps2 and specially on a CRT, that music and ambience is phenomenal, the gameplay is pretty great and if you can play with headphones it will blow your mind.

Resident Evil 4
It was the first resident evil game that I've played back on the Nintendo GameCube. Later months I ended up getting a PlayStation 2 with a copy of the version of resident evil 4. The game was ahead of its time, and it really changed the gaming industry and to this day the game aged like fine wine. But in all honestly, I still prefer this version than the remake.
