I previously commented on whether or not there should be a separate suggestions section to the forum - my feeling for now is that it's better to have everyone weigh in on suggestions. If they were separated too soon, I think less people would participate.

This suggestion is to have a maximum height for signature images. Let's just say that every forum community finds their happy middle ground on this subject, and some choose not enforce any rule on this at all, but I will send an example of what I think is an acceptable signature height, and then what I think is taking up too much space.




Just to make it clear, I don't use this example in a mean-spirited way Amy - I have nothing against you at all, but I do think signatures this large cause too much clutter, especially if you're posting repeatedly on one page. Lutyr's signature is sitting at 212px, which I think is just about acceptable, but I'd put a soft cap at 200px (mine is 150px, for reference). Amy's is almost double Lutyr's at 421px, which is way too big. Remember that a signature will appear for every post you make, and if you end up having a conversation with someone in a thread, just think how much someone would have to scroll just to get through the space your signature takes up if it's oversized.

How does everyone feel about this?

+1, i was considering making a suggestion along the same lines.

I agree, I have limited the height of the signature as a whole. The max height is now 256px. It can be bigger than 256px but it will just show a scrollbar for users to scroll if they wish so.

smh, attacking my well-done signature, can't have good things on a forum /j.

I would actually prefer if there was an option you could toggle for full size signatures that you can opt-in and it's off by default. But the current solution is fine, I will probably just had to re-design my signature cuz I would hate ruining the art with deformations due to the nature of resizing =w=
