I'm still playing Exoprimal btw

Is it still active? I checked several local shops, and they no longer seem to be selling it, so I assume the demand for this game has dropped significantly. I saw it on clearance for the PS5 for around 15€ but decided not to buy it. Would you recommend it?

not really, but honestly the bots are really good. If you play on weekends you get full lobbies all the time. The game is nearly dead on steam (only like 20 players) but since its cross-play you can get plenty that way.

The game is really fun but even at its peak I wouldn't have recommended people buy it at full price. Either get it on game pass or for a major clearance, or not at all if you're worried about the player count.

I would offer to play it with you but unfortunately despite the cross-play you can't queue together with people on other platforms, so the only way I would be able to play it with you if you got it on PS5 is through custom games.

Exoprimal is only $15 for the Winter sale on Steam!! That's a really good deal in my opinion
