after first connecting to the server with a fresh save file back in 2019, i picked sootstone delivery as my first quest. i wasn't confident enough to take on a kut-ku with only leather armor and a bone lance, and nobody was online at the time, so i figured this was something i could manage on my own. it...



...was memorable. but i barely scraped by, and got a buncha jewel tickets to show for it! i had no clue anything like jewel tickets existed, so getting to make the (online exclusive!!!) crystal hammer as my first real weapon for village progression was a really fun surprise

also my first online interaction was kinda funny -- right after i finished making monoblos's armor plus rathalos's waist/legs and wrapped up with village, i went online and immediately made friends with a random hunter wearing the same set!! shoutout to xX MK Xx, the hunts we had that day were fun

The most important thing that pleases me the most is the very fact of access to the city and multiplayer.
It is very nice to play your favorite game with other people who also love this game.
Now, while there are few of us (and I hope that there will only be more of us), I like the fact that any hunter is happy to help others. As a player, I always try to help others, it brings me pleasure.
And seeing how others do it, the desire to play only intensifies.
From other points - I got a new gaming experience, the one that I wanted for so long.
I liked the many situations that I had to experience with other hunters.
And of course the first Fatalis.
I remember the moment when I barely managed to protect the stunned hunter from the fireball of Rathalos, at the last moment blocking the fireball with my GS.

For me it was the moment me and a bunch of other hunters got to HR13 and found out that we're essentially back on special mushroom picking duty. Of course there wasn't a single person online at the time that could post anything for us, and you can bet not a single one of us wanted to spend the next ~30,000 HRP picking mushies. So we all pretty much got kitted out in our best gear and just posted Kut Ku jungle quests and killed the damn thing in 10-30 seconds flat, mining high-rank ores while the return timer was running from the one hidden node nearby. This went on for literally hours and we managed to grind roughly 15-20k HRP on Kut Kus alone. Everyone was pretty much fatigued and had that PTSD bloodlust in their eyes. All of us literally sold everything that wasn't bolted to the ground and made insane bank off of all the ears and beaks we got too. Couldn't look at a Kut Ku for a week after that.

We both knew we didn't give a shit about those velociprey; we were hunting the RATHALOS. We did it with out terrible starter gear and not a cart between us.

Thats sounds great xD, I got a similar history, I was doing mushroom hunting with a friend, then we tried to hunt a Gyropceros, we just couldn't beat it, we were so weak :')
