Dos PSP connection with MH Portable

Post by Adam »

I thought I would take a recording since I just got my JP PS2 so I could do the connection with my Dos disc for the authentic experience.

I'm just going to add what I find out about the PSP connection to this post as I find new things.

Every time you connect MH Portable and MH Dos it forces Peddling Granny to show up and she has an additional inventory page that goes before the maka pot. This triggers every time you enter the game via the connect option on the menu.

Items listed are:
An elemental bowgun ammo
A random food ingredient (I don't have an exact list yet but items)
Might Seed or Adamant Seed
Kelbi Horn or Small Bone Husk
Catalyst
Kut-Ku Scale
Farcaster

Edit: she also sells Dragon Toadstools more often not sure if she sells them normally.

Some of these items are sold normally by the Peddling Granny but some are unique to whenever you do the PSP connection. These trades do not persist with repeated visits after doing quests and villager requests, these are unique to every time you enter the game via the connection screen.

The Peddling Granny also gives items sometimes when you enter the game through the connection screen. Items I have obtained for free: Might Pill, Adamant Pill, Mega Nutrients, Immunizer, and Max Potion. She gives these items in stacks of 2.

The Legendary Artisan has cheaper armour crafts for the guild armour only requiring a few meteorite and a single whit belt coin per piece.

PSP connection Granny on goes away if you do a village quest. If you do the connection buy stuff then exit via mode select to go to town you can do a bunch of quests, then if you exit via mode select she will still be in village with the same inventory.
