Berserk Raviente can have up to 4 slaying teams and 1 support team, with Extreme having 7 slaying teams and 1 support team. Something that is very important to having an enjoyable Raviente hunt is proper coordination, be willing to communicate with your team and the other members of the Great slaying, doing so will make the entire process much less of a slog.
Skill recommendations:
Slaying parties:
-Sword god +2 (mandatory)
-True guts
Sword God 2 can prevent bouncing off of Ravientes hide if you do not have skyblue sharpness, it is highly recommended to use it for this fight.
True guts can prevent most of Raviente's attacks from killing you instantly, allowing you to stay in the field for longer.
Support party:
Pro Transporter
Speed Gathering
These skills can speed up loading the cannon but are not required, use them if you feel you need them (e.g only 1 or 2 people doing support.)
Recommended items
-Farcaster
-Potion G2
-Mega Nutrients
A farcaster will allow you to get away from some moves that are generally hard to avoid, its a good idea to bring one to every phase.
Potion G2's act as mega potions that will heal you to full while allowing you to carry 10 of them, very good for this fight.
Mega Nutrients will allow you to increase your health back to 150 if you faint to much and use up your max and ancient potions
It may also be a good idea to bring the materials to combine more potions if you feel you need them.
Guild food recommendations
-Goddess' Embrace
-Wide Range +3
Goddess' Embrace gives you a 1/4 chance of taking no damage from an attack, won't work for every attack Raviente does but its still good.
Wide Range +3 will allow you to use mega potions as lifepowders so you can heal your team if you think they need it
Gunner weapons, mainly hbg and lbg, can work but phases may also last a long time which may result in running out of ammo. If you insist on using them in this see if you can ask your team members to carry extra ammo with them if you think you would need it.
Status doesn't work on it from my knowledge, weapons that rely on status will not work too well for this hunt. If possible try to bring something with as much raw as possible
If you're in a slaying party it is important to keep an eye on Raviente's head and tail at almost all times as it will allow you to know what hes doing and how to react
In phases 3, 4 and 5 if he drops his tail below the arena he is launching balls of lava into the arena, aside from a couple that land in predetermined or random spots 2 of them will Always target each player. Avoid being close to other players during this attack. The attack deals damage over time and ignores defense, if you aren't confident in your ability to avoid it or are not playing magnet spike I would recommend using a farcaster.
If you see him bring his head down and roar near the end of the attack fangs(?) will drop onto each player and cause explosions every few seconds. Avoid being close to other players when you see him doing this and attempt to get them to land away from areas you're attacking.
Supports job is to keep Raviente sedated and send ressurection and destruction support to make things easier for the slaying parties, when not sending support you should be on the ballistas. The order of parts to target should be tail -> back -> neck -> head -> horns
After a parts healthbar reaches 0 destruction support can be used on it, if it's healthbar is greyed out afterwards then avoid targetting it. The head and horns can be broken multiple times, neck back and tail can only be broken once.
Its important for most other G rank content but completing a decent amount of My Mission missions is faily important here as well. As a phase goes on a bar in the bottom left of the screen will slowly climb up, giving each player more attack as it does. Having the base damage ceiling of 800 will make this useless for any player who hasn't done any My Mission, I recommend doing at least 60 - 100 of them, not just for this but for general G content as well.
Proper communication with others will make this hunt go by easier, if you have any questions feel free to ask other players.
Extra notes:
The 10 Gathering spd decos can be made from 20 yambugs, bughoppers and snakebee larva. You cant buy all the mats with zenny
The 2 backpacking decos need 2 Gypceros heads, a couple gypceros hunts or 230gcp is the way to get them.
Lastly if you have them, 4 Lynx GN GX1 decos can give you skilled, having it, gathering speed and backpacking can make your life easier when doing support.
I cannot say this enough but communication will really shorten these hunts. Understanding who is going to do what will cut down on the 20 minutes spent trying to figure out what everyone is going to do while in game. ravi-coordination is available, if possible say what you plan on doing and attempt to communicate with others in order to form teams a day or several hours before the event at least, eg if you see that a couple others are planning to do support and you want to do it as well say so in the chat, talk to the others and figure out how everything will work for you.
Extreme Raviente has a ton more health than Berserk Raviente, coupled with worse hitzones makes him gaining a resistance to an attack type much more punishing than with Berserk. This fight will Require near late game gear (Z3 - Z4) and proper orginization to do in under 2 hours, if you do not have experience fighting Berserk Raviente, learn how he works first then move on to Extreme.
