What sets should i be building?
I've just slain my first blangonga (fuck, hes fast) and i'm starting to rev up for fighting the Daora again. What are some good mid-tier sets to look out for? whether it's a mixed build or not, doesn't matter to me. But im currently running a mix of kut ku and battle and i'm looking at trying to upgrade before i fight kushala for real, i repelled him very easily but he did hit me like a truck.

what weapons are you using? im assuming you have atk up M from the kutku + battle armor, which honestly should do you fine for most of village depending on what weapon. unfortunately atk up falls off really hard and gets outclassed by sharpness+1 really hard, which is a skill you should work towards at some point.
sharpness+1 is NOT granted with the sharpness skill, the sharpness skill mitigates sharpness loss when your attacks bounce. handicraft is what gives sharpness+1, which increases your weapons sharpness level, and can bump a weapon from green to blue or blue to white. my brain can never seen to remember this distinction in the old games, and im probably still mixing names up that said, razor sharp is still an excellent skill to have too.
skills are gonna vary a lot depending on what weapon you want, your play style, and the kinds of strategies you're using

i've been also using long sword since it's pretty reliable and sword and shield, but yeah DUAL BLADES FOR LIFE

Oh yeah, i'm def looking for a handicraft build as fast as i can. I wanted to fight a Pink Rathian but unfortunately i think i need a weapon with blue to fight her as my attacks bounce off a lot even with green.jamie wrote: ↑Mon Jul 17, 2023 4:15 pm what weapons are you using? im assuming you have atk up M from the kutku + battle armor, which honestly should do you fine for most of village depending on what weapon. unfortunately atk up falls off really hard and gets outclassed by sharpness+1 really hard, which is a skill you should work towards at some point.

I mostly play the quick weapons, dual blades and sword and shield, as well as longsword since i find it's really reliable and the easiest for me to control w the stick. I heard handicraft is the only way to reach white sharpness on a weapon in this game too, It's the main skill i build my sets around in tri as similarly that game can only get purple sharpness if you have +1, and the attack modifiers for sharpness are def better than the raw damage from attack up m. I don't know if razor sharp and handicraft null eachother out deco-wise like they do in MHFU and Tri unless you build it correctly, but i assume Ceanataur armor probably has one of those skills?
