about 3/4 of my box space is reserved for all sorts of materials... i made keeping tons of monster materials around a big priority, since i couldn't stand all the weapon + armor recipes at the smithy disappearing whenever you get rid of whatever key items the recipe takes to unlock. i tried my best to keep the materials "in-order", and though i don't quite have everything, my collection here is enough to see most of the cool smithy recipes. the top 2 rows used to be empty space, but ended up getting taken up by odds and ends -- mostly materials for certain higher-end consumables, like mega potions, sonic bombs, lifepowder, mega juice, and clust 2's. i'm a little peeved about the empty space below the earth crystals, which used to just have another stack of earth crystals before i upgraded a buncha rusted weapons

i've never tried sorting my item box in a monster hunter game before or since playing through 1, but organizing all of this was a fun part of my experience! feel free to air any grievances you might have with my super messy item box ._.

Since I have to sort it manually, and thus think about it a little, I've decided I'd like a second, smaller item box just to keep the dung in. Not so fond of keeping it right next to my future food, actually!

It used to be a common thing we did on the Discord! Note sure why it kinda died :/ probably because most players migrated to MH2. It is fun! And yeah, nothing wrong with resurrecting.
