I do play MHp3rd! It's sometimes hard to find people to hunt with, so I appreciate you posting this

Those are INCREDIBLE artworks. The Lao Shan Lung and Chameleos stand out to me the most. These are all beautiful, thank you so much for sharing them. Are you going to scan some of those pages?

That's the most likely explanation. Maybe in quests it looked like dots or maybe didn't even show up consistently; so they opted for just straight up removing them
