i was having the same problem and just find this guy posting this almost the same day.

looks like a lot of poeple are coming to play vintage mh.

well, i guess we have to deal with old school controls until they make an updated version oh mh2 Plus, right?

The plus patch is not compatible with the latest version of the Break Arts patch you will need to dig the 1.02 version of the Break Arts patch using Internet Archive

The break art English translation is great, and the game is unplayable without it (for me anyways, as I am unable to read and understand Japanese), but the controls are god awful, and can't stand using them, so I tried to use the mh2plus patch to rectify this issue. I tried on my patched file, I tried on a clean file, but no matter what i can't get break arts to work with mh2plus. I tried mh2plus Japanese and it patched like normal, but for the life of me I cannot get mh2plus to work in unison with break arts. Can anyone help?
